Don't Worry About A Thing!

Good Morning Subscribers,

Don't worry about a thing!

..'Cause every little thing gonna be all right!

When I was 13 years old, my parents were going through a pretty rough time that eventually led to a divorce. For some reason, I endured a lot of their issues which took a toll on me, stress wise. I'm grateful that I had my Aunt as a sounding board during this time who introduced me to a more spiritual way of dealing with my issues at home. She gave me a bible verse that I have ingrained in me to this day.

"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human man can understand."
- Philippians 4:6

At 13, I didn't realize how much this verse would help me and humble me in the future. One thing that going through trials and tribulations taught me, is to always believe that good things are going to happenNever second guess the effect that a positive mindset can have on your overall well-being.

When you pray and worry at the same time your actions ultimately contradict your mindset. Stop worrying about how the story ends, and I promise you things will start happening. Learning to let go of things that are out of your control isn't easy, but it's so worth it.

Enjoy The Journey of Life

3.png

We must view our lives as a journey, and remember to enjoy every waking second. We may not have a good idea as to where we might end up, but this is the very essence of life. Life is meant to be mysterious. Life is intended to be a journey into the unknown. Think about it… if you knew everything that was going to happen in your future—there would be no surprises—there would be no excitement. Instead of facing the unknowns of life with fear, become eager to take life on and experience everything it has to offer.

Take a quick mental break and look back over your life from grade school, to college, to relationships, to times of adversity, or even in your career – every unknown situation that you were faced with – I bet you overcame it, and if you haven’t overcome it yet, I bet God is pulling you through it right now.The point I am trying to make is that no matter what you may be going through, you will eventually get through it. Don’t be concerned with the how, who, or what—just remember that the Universe has opened its doors for you in the past, so it will surely open for you again, in your future.

Instead of trying to focus on things you have no control over—begin to enjoy the process of life and fall in love with the journey because we will never get another opportunity to do so again. Here are a couple of reminders for the rest of your week:

  • When a moment of fear hits your stomach, stop your self-talk in its tracks and remind yourself of all the blessings life has granted you.
  • Your life will move in the direction of your words; speak victory, not defeat!
  • You are enough.
  • You already have everything you need.
  • Uncomfortable moments will define you and your journey towards progression to become a better you.

Dreamers

To be a dreamer is a wonderful thing, it allows you to delve into the deepest depths of your imagination and formulate new realities. It's the great unknown brought into the light, it is breaking the laws of the universe with your mind.

Surround yourself with individuals who have the ability to not only do this but believe it can be manifested into something tangible. Dreamers must also be doers, they must be able to convert that dream into a plan and the plan into a project.

Find others who ooze that positive energy and help you fill in the missing puzzle pieces of your dream. The feeling will overwhelm you, and the room will be so filled with good energy that you almost feel superhuman.

Write down these dreams, talk about them, draw them, and create them. We were put on this earth to do much more than live, we were out here to create, to share, and to experience. So dream no small dreams and know that you have the power to change things!

Be The BEST Version of Yourself

We all should be striving to be the best version of ourselves. If you have a special skill work on it and improve it until you are the best at it. Have you ever been stuck, not knowing what else to do to improve your life? Below is a compiled list of a few changes that can have an infinite impact on improving your life.

1. Make a choice and choose to be happy. Make up your mind that you want to be a happy person. Don’t let circumstances sway your happiness it’s not about circumstances it’s about choice.

2.  Gratitude, Gratitude, and more Gratitude. Everyone is blessed in his/her own unique way. Don’t ever compare your blessings to someone else’s you are who you’re supposed to be. Take time each day to be thankful for who you are, what you have, and the good people that surround and support you.

3. Get regular exercise & eat food that will nourish and sustain your body. Too much sitting robs you of the sense of being alive. Get up and get moving! Be very conscious of what you put into your body it is your temple so treat it as such.

4. Smile at everyone and be polite even to strangers. Have you ever passed by someone on the street and made eye contact while they were smiling at you? It’s such a nice feeling to have positive energy flow from a strangers smile onto you for no reason. You can make a person's day just by smiling at them.

5. Learn new things and build up others while doing so. Learning is what keeps us excited about life. Life can be tumultuous, a little bit of encouragement can make others feel capable and confident.

6. Rid yourself of negative people and negative thoughts. They will only poison you; it’s as simple as that.

Grow Through What You Go Through

Good Morning Subscribers,

It’s time to grow up and glow up!

Job loss, breakups, family problems …you name it. We’re all going through something. As a child, I always envisioned my adult life as BOMB.COM. Living in New York City with my dream job with a Biggie inspired mindset ..sipping champagne when I’m thirsty. Then I grew up and realized that adulthood doesn’t always taste like cotton candy and feel like a walk on the beach.

Life without trials and tribulations just doesn’t exist. Struggle is inevitable. I’ve had moments where I felt like I wanted to drop off the face of the earth. Hey, we’re all human. I also always have come to Jesus moments when I realize it doesn’t end here.

It’s not about getting knocked down, it’s about getting back up. It’s important to take everything as a life lesson and realize that the pivotal part of growing is learning from your downfalls. Growing and then glowing is all part of the process.

Things are not always going to go as planned. The key is figuring out how to move forward with your alternate path toward success. Aaliyah said it best, if at first you don’t succeed dust yourself off and try again.

Never Stop Dreaming

Good Morning Subscribers,

During one of my speeches at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy located in Baltimore City, I spoke to a group of students and parents about truly believing in your gifts and losing sight of fear.

After the speech was over, I was able to speak with youth in the audience. We discussed their dreams, where they could see themselves in 10 years, and even what type of car and house they wanted to own. One of the young girls came up to me and said, “this is the most fun I have had in a long time.” I thought to myself that the only thing that we were doing was having a conversation about their dreams and aspirations. I didn’t know it at the time, but that statement impacted my life in more ways than I will ever understand.

This simple statement by this young girl is another reminder that we must continue to "dream no small dreams." We must not be afraid to speak about what it is that we want out of life and where we can see ourselves in the future. Today’s society has crippled our abilities to dream which is detrimental to the human mind, body, and soul. Next to eating, drinking, and sleeping, it is in our primitive human nature to dream! Every great idea in recorded history started from a dream and someone’s belief in it. I dare you to speak life into your dreams and aspirations and watch how the universe responds back to you!

Don't Just Survive, Live!

Good Morning Subscribers,

I believe every human on this earth has the desire to live, not just survive. Many of us are so scared to take that jump into the unknown that we don't even try at all. Many of us die without even knowing the true potential of one's self.

The fact of the matter is you have two choices in this world... you can either live your dreams or live your fears. It’s as simple as that. We must choose one.

No one gets out of life alive, so you must live your life to your fullest potential in every aspect of your life and stop waiting for the “right moment” to make a decision. Once you take it upon yourself to open your heart and mind to the unknown possibilities of life, the universe will yield to you. The very universe will start to support you because you are finally allowing yourself to truly achieve what you were put on this earth to do.

Your purpose was specifically designed and given to you but to find it you must let go of fear, negative energy, and have the courage to take risks that you have never taken before. Your life will truly begin when you consistently start to step outside of your comfort zone.

Become a victor, not a victim. Stop waking up like an accident and take control of your life to push your mind, body, and soul to new heights. Live your dreams, not your fears. Don’t just survive, let’s begin to live!

We All Matter

There is this thing called " matter" if you have never heard of it, then I will quickly give you its definition: the substance of which a physical object is composed a material substance that occupies space, has mass and is composed predominantly of atoms consisting of protons, neutrons, and electrons, that constitutes the observable universe.

We are all made up of this stuff, this matter. It's kind of a cool way of saying we are all one and we are connected to the universe. You contribute to this planet by just existing in it, and that is a truly powerful thing, never forget this unequivocal fact.

We all aspire to do great things, to be intrepid and go on amazing adventures. But sometimes we forget to appreciate the mundane and earthly moments. The ones that don't transcend space and time. It's kind of like when you stare at water flowing down a river, this act to some may seem boring, but it is, in fact, a beautiful thing.

By just existing you are making an impact. When you exist in that space nobody else can exist there until you decide to move, and that is powerful. We are all made up of all sorts of cool things that can be identified by many different names. But we are all equally important to this planet. We all matter

What I'm trying to get you to realize is that, regardless of the words people use to describe you, you cannot be cataloged by them, you are more than just words.

You are a living breathing miracle that will inevitably make an impact on this universe and the people who inhabit it along with you. Choose what type of impact that will be, but never forget that those around you are all made up of this same cool stuff.

Whether big or small, tall or short, young or old, or any of the many other ways we like to differentiate ourselves. We are all made up of matter, and we all do matter, this includes you too.
