Increase Positivity
We know staying positive is something that’s more easily said than done but it will most definitely benefit you in the long run. A positive attitude will lead to success and happiness and ultimately lead to you accomplishing your bigger resolutions. Keep a positive outlook on life and you will always win.

Be Confident

In yourself, in other people, in your work, in your life. Be confident in all aspects and believe in yourself. We promise boosting your confidence will lead to a healthier and happier life overall.

Do Something that Scares You
Scares you in a way that will make you better. Don’t ever get too comfortable. Success won’t fall in your lap you have to go after what you want and doing that sometimes means taking risks. In 2018 get comfortable being uncomfortable by stepping out of your comfort zone.

Happy Thursday Subscribers!

I’ll admit it I’m guilty of setting goals and straying away from them over time. I’m sure we all are. Think about it. It’s almost December How many of your New Year New You goals have you checked off your list?

This year, taking measurements to keep me on track has made all the difference. At the end of each day ask yourself if you did something to get you closer to conquering your set goals and ultimately achieving your dreams. If the answer is no then it’s time to re-evaluate.

Below are some tips to keep you on track.

  • Encourage Yourself. Don’t count on others to motivate you. Find ways to encourage yourself. Keep your inner peace, recite positive affirmations and push yourself to reach your goals.
  • Write Down Your Goals. Write down your goals and keep them in plain sight.
  • Get an Accountability Partner. It’s always easier for you to stay on track when you have a friend with the same mindset to push you. Get someone to hold you accountable and get you back on track if you stray.
  • Give Yourself Deadlines. Adding deadlines to your goals will increase the challenge and motivate you toward checking something off your list.

Focus on Meaningful Relationships

There is an important connection between happiness and human connection. Humans are naturally communicative species and constantly crave connection. There is evidence from a Harvard study to support the claim that meaningful relationships actually create happier and healthier lives. This Harvard study led by psychologist Robert Waldingner, still to this day, is the longest human study in history—tracking the lives of 724 men over 75 years. The study ultimately concluded that “meaningful social connections actually keep us alive.”

This extraordinary study sheds light on the importance of becoming aware of the people you surround yourself with every day. Take a minute and think about the individuals in your life that you are most close to. They may be your family members, friends, or significant others. Whoever those persons may be, it’s imperative that you began to see them as an actual component and even a source of your overall well-being and even happiness. We must be very careful about who we spend our precious time and energy with.

As you begin to look at many of your relationships in a different light, become conscious of the individuals you allow into your life. Make sure they add value to your goals, desires, and overall success. More importantly, make sure that they add value to your overall health because those connections may very well be keeping you alive longer.

Enjoy The Journey of Life

3.png

We must view our lives as a journey, and remember to enjoy every waking second. We may not have a good idea as to where we might end up, but this is the very essence of life. Life is meant to be mysterious. Life is intended to be a journey into the unknown. Think about it… if you knew everything that was going to happen in your future—there would be no surprises—there would be no excitement. Instead of facing the unknowns of life with fear, become eager to take life on and experience everything it has to offer.

Take a quick mental break and look back over your life from grade school, to college, to relationships, to times of adversity, or even in your career – every unknown situation that you were faced with – I bet you overcame it, and if you haven’t overcome it yet, I bet God is pulling you through it right now.The point I am trying to make is that no matter what you may be going through, you will eventually get through it. Don’t be concerned with the how, who, or what—just remember that the Universe has opened its doors for you in the past, so it will surely open for you again, in your future.

Instead of trying to focus on things you have no control over—begin to enjoy the process of life and fall in love with the journey because we will never get another opportunity to do so again. Here are a couple of reminders for the rest of your week:

  • When a moment of fear hits your stomach, stop your self-talk in its tracks and remind yourself of all the blessings life has granted you.
  • Your life will move in the direction of your words; speak victory, not defeat!
  • You are enough.
  • You already have everything you need.
  • Uncomfortable moments will define you and your journey towards progression to become a better you.

Dreamers

To be a dreamer is a wonderful thing, it allows you to delve into the deepest depths of your imagination and formulate new realities. It's the great unknown brought into the light, it is breaking the laws of the universe with your mind.

Surround yourself with individuals who have the ability to not only do this but believe it can be manifested into something tangible. Dreamers must also be doers, they must be able to convert that dream into a plan and the plan into a project.

Find others who ooze that positive energy and help you fill in the missing puzzle pieces of your dream. The feeling will overwhelm you, and the room will be so filled with good energy that you almost feel superhuman.

Write down these dreams, talk about them, draw them, and create them. We were put on this earth to do much more than live, we were out here to create, to share, and to experience. So dream no small dreams and know that you have the power to change things!

Never Stop Dreaming

Good Morning Subscribers,

During one of my speeches at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy located in Baltimore City, I spoke to a group of students and parents about truly believing in your gifts and losing sight of fear.

After the speech was over, I was able to speak with youth in the audience. We discussed their dreams, where they could see themselves in 10 years, and even what type of car and house they wanted to own. One of the young girls came up to me and said, “this is the most fun I have had in a long time.” I thought to myself that the only thing that we were doing was having a conversation about their dreams and aspirations. I didn’t know it at the time, but that statement impacted my life in more ways than I will ever understand.

This simple statement by this young girl is another reminder that we must continue to "dream no small dreams." We must not be afraid to speak about what it is that we want out of life and where we can see ourselves in the future. Today’s society has crippled our abilities to dream which is detrimental to the human mind, body, and soul. Next to eating, drinking, and sleeping, it is in our primitive human nature to dream! Every great idea in recorded history started from a dream and someone’s belief in it. I dare you to speak life into your dreams and aspirations and watch how the universe responds back to you!

Don't Just Survive, Live!

Good Morning Subscribers,

I believe every human on this earth has the desire to live, not just survive. Many of us are so scared to take that jump into the unknown that we don't even try at all. Many of us die without even knowing the true potential of one's self.

The fact of the matter is you have two choices in this world... you can either live your dreams or live your fears. It’s as simple as that. We must choose one.

No one gets out of life alive, so you must live your life to your fullest potential in every aspect of your life and stop waiting for the “right moment” to make a decision. Once you take it upon yourself to open your heart and mind to the unknown possibilities of life, the universe will yield to you. The very universe will start to support you because you are finally allowing yourself to truly achieve what you were put on this earth to do.

Your purpose was specifically designed and given to you but to find it you must let go of fear, negative energy, and have the courage to take risks that you have never taken before. Your life will truly begin when you consistently start to step outside of your comfort zone.

Become a victor, not a victim. Stop waking up like an accident and take control of your life to push your mind, body, and soul to new heights. Live your dreams, not your fears. Don’t just survive, let’s begin to live!

Today is The Day

Be excited to turn your thoughts into actions, and bring to life a new adventure with the power that lies within you. Turning your thoughts into actions will come with both successes and failures, but will always end in forward progress and lessons learned.

You can have a million great ideas and intentions, but to truly be great you must learn to execute. Don’t be afraid of your dreams not playing out in reality exactly like they did in your head. That rarely happens, and if it does, it means you weren’t dreaming big enough.

We have so many things that we want to accomplish in life that we often spread ourselves too thin, never getting around to any of them. We invest seconds instead of minutes or minutes instead of hours and let the things we once had a wild-eyed zeal for slowly fade into dreams deferred, living in an age where our attention is constantly being pulled left, and right, it's easy to get distracted. But like I said, today is the day.

Today is the day. The day that you talked about but never came. Today is the day you do that thing that you kept putting off until "tomorrow" but never got around to.

We live in a time where impossible is nothing, and the only limits in life are the ones we put on our imagination. While having an active imagination is great, actions speak louder than words and imagination without action is worthless.

Let today be the spark that starts a chain reaction of accomplishments, and don't let that chain break. Once the first thing has been done move on to the next and ride the wave that you’ve created.
